Not least because it makes you look clever if you have a script open on one of your monitors.
I have said it before, Command line stuff just impresses people, its a scientific fact.
Anyway, things have been a little quiet on the SBS front of late, so i have been reading my PowerShell Pocket Consultant, and just learning a few different things.
I have posted a blog entry about using PowerShell to Email an Alert when the PSConfig command is required on SharePoint, and also posted a Script to Manually Install an SSL Certificate on SBS Essentials.
I have spent a fair few hours tinkering around with learning how to do new things with PowerShell, and how to automate tasks that i think should be automated, but so far are things you must do manually. Generally focussed on SBS related tasks
I cant recommend this book highly enough..Windows PowerShell 2.0 Administrators Pocket Consultant
Anyway, i really just wanted a post to show off what i have written so far.
I am a beginner that is for sure, so if you do decide to download a script and try it out, please leave a comment and let me know what you think!

If you are not into PowerShell you really should take a look as it can be used to do just about anything!
